Home Allergy Testing Kit
The ALEX Allergy Xplorer panel test is the most comprehensive IgE test available, covering 295 allergens.
The test is processed in a laboratory after a finger prick blood sample is taken at home.

This test requires a finger prick sample of blood.
Important information for home testing kit
1) Do not take the test less than 4 weeks after an allergic reaction due to risk of false negative results.
2) Avoid posting the blood sample on Friday or Saturday as the laboratory is closed over the weekend and sample should be fresh.
3) If insufficient blood is sent, a £35 postage and packaging fee will apply to send another kit.

Same Day Testing in clinic (with phlebotomy service)
The ALEX allergen panel test can also be performed in Wimpole Street, where your blood will be taken by a professional. The fee for the test in this instance, including phlebotomy, is £520.

1. Order your kit online
Order online and we will send you a home finger prick blood sampling kit containing everything you need. Kits are sent Royal Mail Special Delivery - guaranteed next working day by 1pm.
2. Take your blood sample
3. IgE testing
Follow the instructions included in the sampling kit then send the sample back to the laboratory using the pre-paid Tracked 24 service. (For best results do not send samples on Fri/Sat)

4. Allergy report
Your full report will be emailed to you within 2 working days. Your report can then be reviewed with our Consultant Allergist.

Important Instructions for Mailing Your Blood Sample
To ensure accurate results, please take and post your blood sample on the same day. Do not post your sample on Friday or Saturday, as the lab is closed on weekends and this could affect your results.
