ABOUT
Dr Derrick
Dr Emily Derrick is a consultant in paediatric allergy and general paediatrics. She is an expert in the care of infants and children from birth to age eighteen with all atopic conditions, including food allergy, respiratory allergy, asthma, eczema, gastrointestinal problems, allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria.
Her clinical experience covers the assessment and management of common food allergies such as cow's milk protein allergy, egg allergy, and peanut and tree nut allergies, as well as hay fever and other environmental triggers.
As a general paediatrician, she also advises on broader medical concerns for children including constipation, general rashes and feeding concerns.
Dr Derrick has a particular interest in eczema in babies and young children, and has developed a community-based eczema education service. Her approach is holistic, recognising the impact of allergic conditions on both the child and their family, and she works closely with families to develop tailored management plans.
