Children's Allergy Services

Children's Allergy Services (Paediatrics)

The London Allergy Clinic provides a comprehensive diagnosis, allergy testing and treatment for a wide range of allergic and non-allergic conditions in children from birth onwards.

Allergy symptoms in children can often be complex or difficult to interpret. Our approach focuses on thorough clinical evaluation, evidence-based testing, and personalised management plans. Our goal is to provide clarity, reassurance and continuity of care for families navigating allergy concerns.
Happy Family

Our paediatric specialists

Dr Emily Derrick and Dr Tammy Rothenberg are Consultant Paediatricians with specialist expertise in paediatric allergy. Together, they provide assessment and treatment for the full spectrum of childhood allergic conditions, including food allergies, eczema, hay fever, urticaria (hives), allergic reactions and asthma.

Dr Derrick is Clinical Lead for Paediatric Allergy at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and has a particular interest in eczema and allergic skin disease.

Dr Rothenberg is a Consultant Paediatrician and Allergist at Homerton University Hospital and is the Paediatric Asthma Lead, with particular expertise in childhood asthma and recurrent wheeze.

Both consultants combine specialist allergy expertise with broad experience in general paediatrics, enabling them to assess wider childhood health concerns and provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for babies, children and young people.

Multidisciplinary Allergy Care

Our paediatric allergy consultants work closely with Misbah Primett, an experienced Paediatric Allergy Dietitian. Misbah provides specialist dietary support for children with food allergies and restricted diets, including advice on weaning, allergen introduction, food reintroduction and nutritional adequacy.

This collaborative approach helps ensure children and families receive comprehensive support following diagnosis.
