The London Allergy Clinic provides a comprehensive diagnostic and management service for adults of all ages with suspected or confirmed allergic conditions. Our service is led by BSACI registered consultants with decades of experience and specialist training in both immunology and allergy medicine.
 
We see patients from across the UK and abroad for a wide range of allergy-related concerns.  Our approach focuses on thorough clinical evaluation, evidence-based testing, and personalised management plans. Our goal is to provide clarity, reassurance and continuity of care for adults navigating allergy concerns.

Our adult allergy specialist

Dr Gururaj Arumugakani is a Consultant Allergist and Immunologist with decades of experience, currently practicing at UCLH.  His practice covers everything from allergic rhinitis, to food allergies, venom allergies, drug allergies and chronic urticaria (hives) and angioedema (swelling).

Dr Arumugakani is also a trained immunologist and is able to assess patients with general immunological concerns, allowing him to provide a more holistic approach to his practice.

Dr Arumugakani is trained in the safe and effective delivery of medications including: 
​
  • Sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) 
  • Subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) 
  • Anti-IgE therapy (omalizumab/Xolair)

BSACI registered allergist

As a BSACI - registered allergist, Dr Arumugakani can provide comprehensive allergy assessments and formal medical reports which may be needed for the following:
 

  • Applicants to the armed forces (Army, Navy, RAF)

  • Individuals seeking to work on cruise ships or in aviation

  • Employees required to provide documentation of allergy status for safety-critical roles
    ​

Reports are produced following clinical assessment and testing, and are tailored to meet specific organisational or occupational health requirements.
