If you have moved to London or are visiting, working out how to see a specialist here can be confusing. This page explains how private allergy care works in the UK, and what to expect from us.
You don't need a referral
There is no gatekeeping here. You do not need a letter from a GP, a primary care physician or anyone else to book. You can contact us directly and be seen.
Appointments are usually available within a few days. Video consultations are often sooner.
How to check our doctors' credentials
In the UK, specialists are listed on the GMC Specialist Register — the General Medical Council's public record of doctors approved to practise as consultants in their field. It is the closest UK equivalent to board certification.
All three of our consultants are on the Specialist Register, and all three hold substantive NHS consultant posts alongside their work here:

What an appointment involves
A consultation is £350 and lasts up to a full hour. That covers the doctor's time, any prescriptions you need, and a written clinic letter afterwards.
Testing is charged separately and only after the doctor has advised what will actually help. A skin prick test is £200 and is done during the same appointment, with results in about twenty minutes. Blood tests are also available, including the ALEX³ Allergen Panel Test, which screens 300 allergens from a single sample.
Adults and children
We see adults and children. Children are seen at our Marylebone clinic by our consultant paediatricians, who specialise in allergy in infants, children and teenagers — food allergy, eczema, asthma, hay fever, hives and more (including general paediatric concerns).
Insurance
Many international patients claim their costs back from their insurer, and we provide the itemised invoices and receipts you will need.
Where your insurer issues a letter of guarantee covering our fees, we can often bill them directly instead. We are happy to work this way with any insurer that offers it.
